The synopsis of *The Magic Flute*.
The Magic Flute - Act 1
In ancient Egypt, known as Kemet, Prince Tamino is pursued by a large monstrous serpent and faints. As the serpent is about to attack the fainted prince, the Queen of the Night's maidens come to his rescue, attacking and killing the serpent, thus saving Prince Tamino.
The maidens show Prince Tamino a portrait of the Queen of the Night's daughter, Pamina, and inform him that she has been kidnapped by Sarastro. Enchanted by the portrait, Prince Tamino sets out to rescue her.
The Queen of the Night asks Prince Tamino to rescue her daughter, Princess Pamina, who has been captured by evil forces. The maidens give Tamino a magic flute, and he promises to save the princess and heads towards Sarastro's palace.
The Magic Flute - Act 2
Prince Tamino meets Princess Pamina and learns that Sarastro, whom he thought was evil, is actually a wise philosopher. The Queen of the Night, however, gives her daughter a knife and orders her to kill Sarastro.
Prince Tamino and Pamina fall in love and, in order to achieve true love and wisdom, pass through Sarastro's trials. After overcoming the trials, Tamino and Pamina defeat darkness with their true love.
If it rains, raincoats and paper towels are provided to the audience. The paper towels are used to wipe off the moisture from the seats before sitting down.
The reason why the Bregenz Festival is one of the world's top three classical music festivals is that it harmoniously blends nature, history, culture, capital, sustainability, scale, art, music, stage production, stage technology, and tourism.
